Resolute Forest Products Inc. plans curtailments in Q2 at several stud sawmills in Quebec and Ontario, citing log supply constraints.
The production cutbacks will equate to some 30 million board ft. of lumber.

A company spokesman said challenging winter weather conditions in addition to a very wet fall had slowed Resolute's woodlands operations and related transportation, impacting log supply for Q2.
He added that the company did not expect any issues in meeting customer commitments, and was making every effort to minimize impacts on employees and suppliers.
