The Swedish forest owners association Mellanskog has announced a decrease in its timber prices.
According to Mellanskog, the global economy continued to show signs of slowing down, resulting in weakened demand for sawnwood and pulp-based products.
And at the same time, the supply of forest raw material is high in Sweden and Europe, where extensive spruce bark beetle problem has led to a high logging activity with large spruce.
