Turkey’s wood processing companies banned in Russia

After Turkey has brought down a Russian airplane last year in November, Russia issued last week a list of sanctions which will ban some Turkish companies to develop their activities in Russia. The Russian government says that the sanctions commenced on January 1.

According to RT, the Turkish companies will be forbidden to “construct bulidings, work in architecture and design” and they won’t be allowed to work in hotel and travel businesses in Russia. The ban also affects the companies that work in forestry and timber processing.

Still, the list of sanctions won’t be applied to contracts which were concluded before the regulation entered into force.
