China: Fall in CIF prices for softwood lumber imports continues
According to data from China Customs, in the first half of 2023 lumber imports totalled 14.31 million cubic metres valued at US$3.659 billion, up 10% year on year in volume but down 5% in value. The average CIF price for imported lumber declined 13% to US$256 per cubic metre over the same period of 2022.
