Tariffs send lumber prices to 30-month high

Lumber futures rose to the highest in more than two and a half years after President Donald Trump ordered an investigation into shipments of the commodity into the U.S.  Trump on Saturday asked the Commerce Department to investigate the national security harm posed by lumber imports. Those shipments largely come from Canada, which is already facing the threat of 25 per cent tariffs on its goods.
