Once with the full implementation of the timber legality verification system (SVLK), the Indonesian government seeks to increase the exports of timber products to the EU by 10%, as to reach US $1.1 billion in 2016, as The Jakarta Post reported.
According to Nurlaila Nur Muhammad, the Trade Ministry’s director of agriculture and forestry export products, once that the system is put into effect, it will be much easier to export the timber products to the EU.
