The Italian woodworking machinery producer Biesse has recently released the preliminary financial statements for the year ended on 31.12.2016.
The sales revenues of the company reached a record EUR 618.5 million, representing a 19.1% increase compared to 2015 (EUR 519.1 million). Sales of the Wood Division totaled EUR 450.9 million which were 18.7% above 2015 (EUR 380.0 million). In 2016 the Wood Division was responsible for 72.9% of the Company’s total revenues.
EBITDA for the Biesse Group in 2016 was EUR 75.8 million an increase of 18.3% compared with 2015 (EUR 64.1 million), while net profit in 2016 reached EUR 29.5 million a 39.9% higher than in 2015 (EUR 21.1 million). Biesse sales in 2016 had relevant growth in Western Europe (+34.9%), Asia (+26.1%) and North America (+20.2%).
The Biesse Group currently has almost 3,800 employees in its main production sites in Pesaro, Thiene, Alzate Brianza, Bangalore, Dongguan and its associates/branch offices in Europe, North America, Latin America the Middle East, Asia and Australasia. The Group also has no fewer than 300 resellers and agents enabling it to cover more than 100 countries.
