According to China Customs, in the first half of 2023 China’s plywood exports were 5.13 million cubic meters valued at US$2.368 billion, down 9% and 20% respectively over the same period of 2022. The main reason for the decline in plywood exports was that both the number and production capacity of China’s plywood industry had declined.
