In the first half of the year, the gross profit of the State Enterprise Forests of the Czech Republic decreased by 19 percent to 3.85 billion Czech crowns (158.85 million Euro). The reason for this was a 21 percent reduction in timber harvesting to 3.8 million cubic meters, which is related to the aftermath of the bark beetle calamity.
