Exports of European softwood lumber to Japan reached in volume 1,110,802 cubic meters in the first half of the year, 37% less than the same period of last year. This is the fourth year of consecutive decline.
However, due to booming export prices, exports in value declined by only 4%. The average European export price was up by 54%.
