The Finnish sawmiller Westas Group has invested about EUR 3 million in its Finnish Pihlava sawmill. Through the investment, the production of the sawmill grows to 230,000 cubic metres per year. The sawmill will thus need more logs, and the company will acquire two new harvesting areas.
Managing Director of Westas Group Pekka Kopra says that the group aims with the acquisition to harvest more pine logs to satisfy the needs of the sawmill.
