The insolvency proceedings for German Pellets GmbH started on the 1st of May in Hamburg, with insolvency administrator Bettina Schmudde ahead of the issue. The bankrupt company was divided to small investors as to guarantee its continuation.
Thus, the German Pellets plant in Wismar was bought by Metropolitan Equity Partners, LLC, New York (MEP) and operates now as a newly founded company under the name Wismar Pellets GmbH.
