The Austrian sawmill association, together with ETTF and EOS, is busy planning this year's International Softwood Conference.
On October 11, everyone is invited to a guided tour around Vienna to see spectacular wooden buildings, and on the same evening there is a welcome reception with cocktails and an art exhibition for those interested.
October 12 is the main conference day and will take place at the Hilton Vienna Park. The conference offers the opportunity to take a close look at the trends in the timber market, with a focus on facts and figures on the production and consumption of softwood in the most important countries for the industry - not only in Europe. The speakers will present developments and forecasts on the wood market, which is changing in many respects, and provide impetus for exchange and discussions.
