Belarusian Bellesbumprom and Turkish Kastamonu want to form a partnership and manufacture all kinds of wooden boards in Belarus together.
The Turkish holding company has stated their wish to work with the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern, for manufacturing wooden board products which would be used under the Kastamonu brand, as reported by BelTa.
Kastamonu also wants to invest in the development of the production as to also transfer technologies to Belarusian companies, which also may be included into the Turkish company's sales chain. Moreover, major Turkish furniture brands will be invited by Kastamonu in Belarus as to make ready-made products for the Eurasian Economic Union market.
A delegation of Kastamonu managers and experts visited Belarus on 30 May – 3 June 2016 and to discuss about the prospects of a future cooperation. The Bellesbumprom enterprises that make fiberboards, insulation boards, and chipboards, laminated floor boards, furniture, pulp and paper products have also been visited by the Turkish delegation.
