In a recent interview the Deputy General Director of the Polish State Forests ( Lasy Państwowe ) for forest management issues, Jerzy Fijas , informed that changes in the wood sales system of the State Forests "are necessary, and work in this direction has begun". The first changes in the rules of the wood sale system will be made at the end of 2024. On the other hand, general changes will become mandatory from the beginning of 2025. The Polish State Forests have indicated that the tenders for 2025 should be held already in the fall of 2024, so the announcement of the decision is expected in September of this year.
