EU’s €1.2 billion provision to Ukraine linked to roundwood export ban

Ukraine’s matter regarding the trade of unprocessed timber should be solved as quickly as possible because the ban on exports interferes with the second and third tranche of EUR 1.2 billion, representing the macro-financial assistance from the EU, as the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade - Trade Representative of Ukraine Natalia Mykolska stated.

"The removal of this important impediment to trade is one of the necessary criteria for continuation of the implementation of the third EU macro-financial assistance programme in Ukraine. The second and third tranches total EUR 1.2 billion and foresee further liberalization of trade with the EU," said Mykolska.
