Finland's sawn softwood production increased by 5 percent in the first half of the year, jumping to a total of 5.8 million cubic meters. New investments in the Finnish forest industry were higher in this period, as well as paperboard and pulp production.
Finland's forest industry produced in the first half of the year 1.6 million tons of pulp 3.4 million tons of paper, which is 6.7 percent less than in January-June 2015.
