The Spanish pellet market is growing rapidly,. Production capacity in Spain currently stands at 1.87 million tonnes per year and is estimated at 2.5 million tonnes in 2022. The trend is towards larger systems. The actual production is only around one third of the capacity, currently at 684,000 tonnes. For the year 2022, a production of 1.2 million tons is expected with probably 100 installed plants as well as a consumption of about 1 million tons of pellets.
