The average price of Russian wood pellets sent to the European Union countries in January-July has increased by almost 10% as compared to the previous year, following several quarters of sharp rise. On average, Russian wood pellets sent to the European Union increased by 10% as compared to the same period of 2018, while the overall exports rose by 32% in quantity and 45% in value.
The most expensive Russian wood pellets were sent to the United Kingdom (an average of €163/ton), a 10% increase as compared to January-July 2018.
