The European Woodworking Industries express great concern about EUDR

The European Woodworking Industries represented by CEI-Bois – The European Confederation of Woodworking Industries, EFIC: European Furniture Industries Confederation, EOS - European Organisation of the Sawmill Industry, EPF- European Panel Federation, ETTF - European Timber Trade Federation, and FEP- European Federation of the Parquet Industry – collectively express significant concerns regarding recent disclosures about the EU Deforestation-Free Products Regulation (EUDR), as reported in a Financial Times article dated 8th March 2024. The reported intention of the EU to delay the implementation of a risk-based approach, crucial for ensuring compliance with the EUDR, has drawn criticism from industry stakeholders.
